Recently I lost my little mate 'Jake'. My beautiful little Jack Russell who gave me 13 years of unconditional love and joy. His illness was sudden & devastating to me. The Team at Snowy Vets were so amazing, caring and they genuinely cared about not only my litte dog but me as well. I will never forget their kindness. To George, Ashleigh, Megan, Sophie, Mike, Colin & Ryan... Thankyou for being the wonderful people you are.
Naomi (Jakeys Mum).
A few hours ago Mike from Snowy vets and a wonderful vet nurse Sophie came to my house to help attend to my beautiful friend Igor, a sixteen year old very furry cat. The decision was made that it was his time and Mike would assist in his passing. Had I known that a vet and a vet nurse would be so kind, compassionate, and caring for my beloved friend Igor I would have sought them out earlier. I want to thank Mike and the wonderful vet nurse for their genuine care - Igors last moments definately were in an atmosphere of love. Cant thank you enough.

I have known Drs George Timmins and Mike Mesley on both a professional and personal level for many years now and I would send my own animals to them in a heartbeat. You will not find more genuine and caring veterinarians to be your other 'family doctor'.
Not only do they understand the important place of pets in the family and the strength of the human-animal bond; they are constantly striving to provide the very best medical standards even if that sometimes means a client and their animal is referred out of town.
Snowy Vets are not just there for emergencies but for a relationship for the lifetime of your pet.

My family has a close association with Snowy Vets. They look after our full menagerie of animals beautifully.
We throw everything at them: preg testing cows; horse dentistry; working dog care; ram sedation for shearing; and, our beloved domestic pets. They are professional, no nonsense and also compassionate.
I have been impressed when I have to leave a message for one of the vets at how particular the front desk are to get the details just so.

As a cat and horse owner, I have consulted Snowy Mountains Veterinary Clinic on many, many occasions over the years.
This has been for routine matters, for diagnosis of weird conditions like cholangiohepatitis (thanks George, for saving my Ludwig), age-related conditions for moggies and horses and, unfortunately, end-of-life services for much-loved animal companions.
The service has been great, the treatments reliable and the staff helpful and friendly.
It’s also great to be able to talk to an expert who “tells it like is” so the best treatment/outcome can be achieved for the patient as well as the human involved.

"Arable" have used the services of the Cooma Animal Hospital for many years. We are sheep and cattle producers, as well as pet owners and wildlife carers who need a competent veterinary team that can deliver a professional service with a vast knowledge of large and small animal care.
The team at Snowy Vets have proven over many years that they have the skills and knowledge to deliver positive outcomes for us. I have no hesitation in recommending them to prospective clients.

This is not your ordinary veterinary practice. Snowy Mountains Veterinary Group based in Cooma and Jindabyne offer a holistic approach to care including: acupuncture, homeopathy, Chinese herbs, advice on diet, nutrition & behaviour modification in addition to more ‘conventional’ treatments.
Schultz our German Shorthaired Pointer often refused to leave the practice he enjoyed his visits so much. After he ruptured his second anterior cruciate ligament at age 11 years things were looking quite grim. Despite that, with surgery, acupuncture and synovan injections he went on to live another 3 ½ years.
As a large dog we never expected him to live to almost 15 years and attribute his long life to the treatment and diet advice provided by the practice.
Now that Schultz has passed on both my husband and I have commented that not only do we dearly miss Schultz but also our regular visits to see Mike, George and the treating team at the practice.
We could not recommend this practice more highly. The team take a real interest in your pets, have a wonderful connection to animals and an incredible breadth of knowledge.
If Mike and George treated humans, people would be queuing out the door to see them. However they made the wise decision to treat animals.

The team at Snowy Mountains Veterinary Group has looked after our animals, large and small, since we moved to the region 10 years ago. Since this time we have used a broad scope of their services and have always been impressed by their capacity to deal with the sometimes challenging range of demands our animals have brought forward.
As the vets leading this practice, George Timmins and Mike Mesley move easily between routine care and emergencies, and in chronic cases, such as laminitis, have worked with us through the often long rehabilitation of the animal to health. We also appreciate the considerable diagnostic work they put into understanding the nature of some of the conditions our animals have had and that when these illnesses have challenged their own immediate knowledge, know what specialist services to resource to get the best possible result for that animal.
An added bonus for this veterinary practice is Mike Mesley’s knowledge and commitment to Complimentary and Alternative Therapies, such as acupuncture, herbs and nutrition, and the more holistic understanding of the animal’s health these areas of knowledge allow. Because of his ability to know when to move between these options and more conventional practice we have achieved a number of very good results for our animals.
Mike, George and all the team of dedicated nurses at the hospitals are always empathetic towards the animals they are treating and show a kind regard and understanding for the emotional wrench we all feel when a beloved pet is sick, in pain or passes on. We thank them all.

We rely on George, Mike and the rest of the crew at Snowy Mountains Veterinary Group to treat our dogs and horses no matter how and when each emergency arises …….extracting retained placentas in Mata Hari, a warmblood mare at 3.00am, ….. replacing the cruciate ligament after our over active greyhound X kelpie, Shelley, tore it chasing rabbits (both times),….. and successfully diagnosing and treating Cushings disease in Rosie, a favorite old pony that we could not stop foundering.
Furthermore, we trust Mike and George to refer us to Canberra’s specialists if ever the need arises. Sue & Stephen Wallace, Cooma
